In response to this calling, he immediately left behind his people and surroundings and travelled alone to Khammam - Telangana, carrying little more than the clothes he was wearing. He was unaware of the local language, nor did he know anyone in the place where he arrived. Yet, he firmly believed that God had spoken to him and had sent him there for a specific purpose. With faith as his foundation and obedience as his strength, he began his journey of ministry.

According to his testimony, the Lord revealed to him that Khammam would become the place of his ministry and that the ministry should be established in His name. Out of this divine calling, the ministry was named "Consuming Fire" ( Dahinchuagni ).What began with one man, very limited resources, and a simple step of faith gradually developed into a wider ministry of Christian service, leadership development, evangelism, humanitarian work, and social outreach.

Dr. Thomas was married to Dr.Sheeba Thomas, and together they have been blessed with two children - Catherine and Karishma. His family has remained an important part of his journey of faith, ministry, and service.

Over the years, Dr. Thomas has dedicated himself to training and developing Christian leaders. More than 8,000 pastors have been trained under his leadership, equipping them to serve churches and communities and to carry the message of Christ to many people and Additionally , 2,000 Pastors are working alongside Dr.Thomas in India.His ministry has therefore grown from an individual calling into a broader network of Christian leadership and service.

Dr. Thomas is also a prolific Christian songwriter and composer. He has written more than 3,000 Christian devotional songs, using music as a means of communicating faith, worship, encouragement, and devotion. His contribution to Christian music has received international recognition winning a world-record certificate for "Most Lyrics Written and Music Composed for Devotional Songs on the Lord Jesus Christ.�

His messages are broadcast daily on Shubhavartha and Calvary TV channels. He has authored 24 books, including commentaries on the Epistle to the Hebrews, the Epistle to the Romans, and the Book of Revelation.

His humanitarian and social contributions have also received several recognitions . Among the honours presented to him are "The Great Humanitarian National Award 2021", "The Humanitarian Excellence Award 2021", and "A Certificate of Commitment" from the World Book of Records, London, Recognition his commitment to serving society and easing human suffering during the COVID-19 period.

In 2023, he received the "Nelson Mandela Noble Peace" Award for his contributions toward global peace and humanitarian service. In 2024, he was recognised as a "Peace Ambassador" by the American University, USA (AUGP-USA) and received the" Service of the Year" Award from High Range Book of World Records in recognition of his philanthropic contributions.

He was appointed Chairman of the National Independent Bishop Council, Andhra Pradesh, and National Vice President of the International Human Rights Commission, Geneva, India.

Dr. Thomas was appointed as a District Reporter to document and report information regarding anti-social activities against Christians ,issues affecting Christian communities and concerns of the poor and underprivileged

Dr. Thomas's journey is a testament to faith, obedience, perseverance, leadership, creativity, compassion, and service. From arriving at an unfamiliar place with almost nothing to building a ministry that has touched and influenced thousands of lives through pastoral training, Christian music, humanitarian initiatives, evangelism, and community service.
